Working with notes is very slow

Two questions:
1. Is there a way to globally turn off certain note files or does this have be done on each individual tab?
2. I have a note file on Matthew that is growing large. It seems like anytime I have this note file open and am working with it, (like adding or editing notes) whatever I do takes a very looooong time. Is anyone else having this experience? Does anyone have any advice to improve performance?
Have a great day,

Right click on the note file name in the Visual Filters menu to get a secondary menu that allows you to switch off the note file globally:
(I've got no help for you on your second point)
MacBook Pro (2019), ThinkPad E540

There are optimizations being worked on for notes - it is due to the underlying framework which handles this control in the program - no guarantees on which release this fix will be included in but I will update this thread once the optimizations are implemented.

Check out this link for more information. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/14108.aspx. You can save your notes file and the program will run normally again. Not a solution, but for me it's better than a crippled program.

I have mentioned that thread too, thanks.

This is the single greatest weakness of Logos 4.0 in its current iteration (that is without the missing features). Some of the missing features are glaring omisions but this is the greatest problem with the software and its functionality as it currently exists.
For the above reasons, I personally think that everything else should be secondary to getting this done. If I was King for a day in Logos HQ I'd instruct everyone to drop everything and support his single effort. No chili cook-offs till this gets fixed.
Can I make it any more explicit?
Agree/disagree?

I happen to agree. I do appreciate the new technology and the work that has gone into it. The more I use it, the more I'm impressed. However it was no more than a curiosity before I could port my L3 notes over (and I'm not sure they all got ported over), and am finding that it's hard to do real work with the fragmented notes/clippings/favorites approach. It really does cripple the product's usefulness. Logos appears to have a hard time understanding the market in regards to this side of their product, though there is always hope that they do and just haven't had the resources to do what they want yet.

I'm not sure that notes are #1 for me, but they are close. Please fix them.

Current position:
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Is this drag and drop in notes an ability to reorder the clippings? I really want that.
We already have drag n' drop in notes. It was implemented after this item was written.
The item for being able to drag n' drop in clippings is this one http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/508709-ability-to-sort-clippings-
Prov. 15:23

Current position: 3rd in top ideas (pic removed see above)
You will notice I said of the things currently implemented already. The two above it are not yet implemented. It would not make sense to add new functionality before making the currently functionality work as it should. My tires are bald on my car but I'm putting on a towing package. Does not make sense. So again, please fix the notes. Then get the new stuff in there.
