Bug, 4.0c beta 1: Can't remove "Search by" if resource has no indexed fields

How to reproduce:

  • Do a basic search on a resource that has indexed fields, and use one of those fields (e.g. search Heading Text in the ESV).
  • Then switch the resource to one without any indexed fields  (e.g. Louis Berkhof's Assurance of Faith).

The Problem:

  • It's not possible to change "Heading Text" back to "All text", so you can't search.

Suggestion to fix:

  • Have the Search criteria switch to "All text" when the previously selected field doesn't not appear in the currently selected resource.

I'll confirm this.  The "All" button.  It does nothing.

If I switch to a text that has indexed fields but not the one I had originally checked, the All button still doesn't work, but I can get it back to All by checking and unchecking "Search Fields".

But, like you said, if it doesn't have any search fields, there's no way to switch it back to All.

    I'll report this. Thanks.
