It ultimate tries to link to https://logosmarchmadness.com/ which will not load. Adding a "www." to it loads as expected (i.e. https://www.logosmarchmadness.com/).

It's too bad that browsers don't recognize the absence of www and automatically adjust.
There's a good reason for that.
Technically, it's the responsibility of properly setting up Domain Name Service (DNS) records for your domain. Browsers need to rely on DNS, instead of second-guessing which URL to use, since domains can use load balancing to direct traffic among a group of servers.
