Select Multiple Notes for Deletion

I have a ton of notes in one of my notes files, perhaps 50 or more, that were created in error. Yet, when I go to delete them, I cannot find any way select more than one at a time for deletion. The attached screen capture shows how tedious it is to delete them one by one. Does anyone know of a more sane way to select more than one note at a time?

I am using Verbum 7.4.0.0051 on an iMac running macOS 10.12.

You can delete the Notes file in the Documents menu, otherwise you must delete individual annotations/notes/highlights.

Would it be easier to copy the notes you want to keep from the note file into a new note and then as Dave said go to document menu and delete the old note file?

That would depend on which option contained the least number of steps.
