If you want to remove all the highlighting in a book, what is the best way?
That depends on how much highlighting you have. My suggestion, and someone else might know a better way, is to navigate highlighting to highlighting and delete them one by one. If you have allot of highlighting this could be very tedious. Other possible solutions that come to mind would be to hide the resource, restart windows, unhide the resource and see if that does the trick. I have know clue what the result of that would be. If someone know's shortcuts to selecting large chunks of text that could be helpful too.
Wish Ctrl A would select the whole book. But i understand why they don't allow this (way too much info to store).
But, here is a crude method
1) Open your book in a floating window. (make that font size small as possible in the window's drop down menu, allow more text to show)2) Open the Highlighting tool. Then drag it to your floating window.3) Set the passage to the beginning of a book.4) Click on the beginning of text. Drag while holding down the left mouse button (selecting the text). 5) Drag to about the middle of the page. While still holding down the left button, hit PageDn on your keyboard, repeatedly ....
6) After repeatedly hitting PageDn on the keyboard (while still holding down the left mouse button) and you reach the end of your book.7) Release the left mouse button, then press the Erase in the Highlighting tool.
Now you can click in your resource to unselect the text.
Don't forget to restore the font size if you made it small.
The two above solutions work. I was just going to add this question. Do you want to remove the mark-up for a short time and just not show it? This way it will not show but will be there for later if you choose it.. Just deselect the "highlighting" under the 3 variable Venn diagram.

That's the "icon with the three intersecting colored circles" in plain English. [:)]

Come on Rosie....I am a math GEEK....
And with my grandchildren, I've learned that this is introduced in the primary grades.[:D]
So am I (majored in math in undergrad). I was just translating for the rest of the readers who might not have had the foggiest idea what you were talking about. I wouldn't have been able to translate it had I not been a math geek like you. I speak geek, but I'm bilingual. [:)] (I'm sure you are too; I'm just ribbing you. Someone needed to do the translation. But I would have taken equally great delight in using the phrase "3 variable Venn diagram" in the context of Logos. BTW, Logos uses Venn diagrams in the new Merge Passage Lists feature (new as of in 4.0c Beta 1), too.
Now is that enough to make a geek's heart flutter, or what? [:)]
Oh!!! Be still my heart! I LOVE IT ! [:)]
To add to Steve's method, one other way to select the entire resource besides using the PageDn key:
1. Click at the beginning of the resource
2. Drag the scroll-bar thumb screw down to the boom of the resource, taking care NOT to click anywhere in the resource
3. Press and hold the Shift key down, and click at the end of the resource.

Unfortunately, this does not work. If you scroll back up a page at a time from the bottom (by clicking in the blank area in the scroll bar above the scroll thumb) to see where the beginning of your selection is after doing this method, you'll see that it only selects the current section. I think this was a safeguard they put in to prevent people from selecting entire books (for copyright reasons). Obviously someone has figured out a way around that. Logos is probably aware of that too, but I guess they figure it's such a pain to drag a selection and select an entire book that few people would go to the trouble.
I hate to blow my own trumpet, but have jut released "Note Tweaker v3" in files forum which will remove all highlighting (not notes) from a book/resource
feel free to try it and see if its a help..
