BUG(?): Reading plan issue when reading different translations

I've got a standard bible reading plan on the go, which I want to read in my highest prioritised bible (the LEB) and that works fine.

The problem is that I also want to read a verse a day from Ruth in the LHB and a chapter a day from Everett Foxes Five Books of Moses. If I open the reading plans on iOS, they go straight to the bible/translation that I assigned to the plan, but if I open todays reading in the desktop app (7.5 RC2 on latest MacOS Beta), it will always open my default bible - is there any way to rectify this in a setting somewhere, or is it a bug?

Can you explain more? Provide screenshots? How do you "open todays reading"?

I've seen the same desktop issue that James described. If I open some other reading plan from the home screen sidebar (with no layout open), it opens to the right passage, but uses my preferred bible, not the bible assigned to that plan.

I have to return to the home screen, then open the same reading plan from the sidebar again, and then a new tab opens using the bible assigned to that plan.

I think it's a bug, as the reading plan does open to the correct translation if a layout/bible is already open.

This is potentially helpful, but I am still not seeing this behavior. I am also on 7.4 SR-1 on macOS 10.12.3. I closed my layout, went to homepage, clicked on the first reading for the reading plan, and it opened in the right bible (not my "preferred" one).

EDIT: I just checked again, having restarted Logos and opening to a blank layout... same (expected) behavior. FWIW - I am using the CEV for the RP, and the ESV is my "preferred" bible.

I have At startup, open to: Home. I tried changing it to open to blank layout, then restarted Logos, but don't see the expected behavior.

The LEB is my preferred bible, and this year, the CJB is my reading plan bible. It consistently opens the "365-Day Connect the Testaments" reading plan to the (right passage but) LEB when nothing else is open, and to the CJB when the LEB is already open.

If it matters, I have the CJB set up to open the LEB side-by-side in Multi-View.

It's not a big deal, as I prefer having the LEB open in its own tab anyway to jump to linked bible verses from other resources.

Have you customized your "Bible Reading Plan" Home Page Layout in the Layouts menu? If so, open a reading from the homepage will open using the resource in the layout you have defined, rather than the one defined in the plan.

The only reason I customized the layout was because I wanted certain other panes to open along with the bible reading.

So, is that a "feature" or a "bug?"

It working as designed, as there is currently no capability for custom layouts to dynamically adjust in any way. It's certainly not the ideal behavior.
