I can get the MIDI tune to play but I don't know how to turn it off. It repeats several times on its own and finally...............stops.
Welcome! Sorry you are having troubles. [:s]
First, which specific version of the engine are you running? Which OS?
On a Windows machine CTRL-R should turn it off (I'd assume something similar on a Mac). Another way is that a small player appears on the menu bar (the same place you might have a bunch of short-cuts), near the far right. I'm not sure that if you have too many shortcuts on that bar, the player could be covered.
OS 10.12.3
Control R doesn't stop MIDI on my vers. OS 10.12.3
Thanks for your timely reply.
You are right about the control bar in the upper right corner. It displayed and I stopped MIDI. Then I checked another MIDI and the control bar didn't show up in the same location it was in before. Interesting!
OK, I started another MIDI and the control bar flashed for a second and then disappeared. Maybe there's a bug?
What specific version of the app? What resource? You may need to post logs (see my signature line)
Computer is iMac, mid 2010. OS 10.12.3. Logos version 7.4 SR-1,
OS 10.12.3. Logos version 7.4 SR-1
Good, everything is up to date.
Computer is iMac, mid 2010
Your computer is quite old, but that shouldn't be an issue. Out of curiosity: Do you have the standard HDD or do you have an SSD drive?
Can you tell us which resource you were using? What song(s)? Can you post logs?
This thread will be moved to the L7 forum so that you can get the proper attention.
FWIW - I just tried this on my "Early 2015" MacBook Pro with the "Logos Hymnal." I played Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed? without any troubles. It paused when I wanted it to, and stoped at the end without repeating.
I am not sure if the logs will provide any answers or not, but that is likely the next step in diagnosing the issue. The only thing else I can think of relates to the age of your computer... not sure if that would be an issue or not. Unlike windows computers, drivers, etc. should automatically be updated with the OS.
This iMac has an SSD Drive.
I am in the Passage Guide, Ps 23, Music / Abide With Me, MIDI. I have the same results with other hymns, Follow On, God Leads Us Along.
I have a MacBook Pro, Early 2011 and it is doing the same thing - After a flash of the control bar it vanishes.
After I wrote the above, a friend was trying different approaches and this is what happened:
I've solved the problem accidentally. The disappearing control bar happened when I hit the MIDI option when all the hymns displayed in the music list. But when I chose the music text on the left side of the page and it displayed the MIDI option below the score. When I tapped MIDI from THAT page the music began AND the control bar displayed. So I have a work around.
Thanks, Alabama24 for your kindness in patiently responding. May God continue to shine His face upon you!
Thank you. Very kind. Glad to help!
I created a NEW THREAD bug report explaining the issue. I do not work with midi-files in Logos that often. It seems to me that I have encountered this issue before... perhaps a bug never fixed or a regression. In any case, hopefully FL will see the post & respond.
