"The Writers of the New Testament: Their Style and Characteristics" (https://www.logos.com/product/17132/the-writers-of-the-new-testament-their-style-and-characteristics) looks like a very interesting resource... But rather dated. Can anyone recommend a recent book that covers the same topic?
I'd be happy if indeed such a tome.
Most of what I've seen is fragmented (commentaries, journals), specific to an issue (eg hebrew-ish patterns), or buried in a completely separate subject. And then some are quite clearly going off track (Dungan comes to mind).
Simcox is indeed dated, but good for 'leads' even if overcome by time. I've run syntax pattern analyses (neurals) on most of his points, and many of his points are prescient.

Sorry, no... but on an unrelated note: If you add a space after the hyperlink, it becomes active: https://www.logos.com/product/17132/the-writers-of-the-new-testament-their-style-and-characteristics
You can also use the hyperlink tool (chain link icon) to create a CLICK HERE text button. Simply type the text you want to appear (i.e. "click here"), select the text, click the hyperlink tool, and paste the url into the target box. [:)]
Thank you alabama24, I've been wanting to try that out.

Glad to help Dale. [:)]

Thanks Alabama24. I usually do make my hyperlinks active, but was posting from my phone.

Thank you for your response Denise. Perhaps someone else knows of a more recent book.
That is good to know. I found it interesting that Google Scholar didn't yield many results of books citing Simox's work.
