This is certainly an interesting match-up, unlike any I can remember from previous March Madness contests.
This is a short round; we won't have to wait long to see who the final two are!
Round 4 sales are also live.
Pretty gutted that Keller's sermon library isn't discounted. That was the one title I was actively looking forward to getting throughout March Madness this year - not that it was ever promised or anything - it's just that all the books on offer were offered in a bundle together, so I assumed they'd want to offer something else beyond that. Ah well.
That's the unknown when we are voting - what will be offered?
I don't think there is anything from the final 4 authors that I don't have and would want, so at least I won't be disappointed. I did pick up a few Stott titles.
I only see The Reason for God and Preaching from Tim Keller as must have's. Are there any others you guys might recommend?
Thanks!

I would be hugely surprised if high-demand items received MM discounts, especially the higher, late-round discounts. The demand for such items is usually sufficient to generate sales without the need to discount.

The Meaning of Marriage. It is quite good.
Thanks Mark! Interestingly enough Themelios has reviews on some of Keller's books. The marriage one has good reviews too.
Blessings!
DAL, I think all of them are worthwhile. Great reviews for all the books that are for sale on Amazon. I've only read Preaching and Reason for God from those on sale but they are excellent. I plan to read the rest of them too.
Thanks Keith and Mark! I'm going to read samples and reviews and may just get them all. I may pass on the competition's Bogo sale to make room for these and the last two from the MM competition.
You didn't mention Stott, but there is quite of bit of his that is very good being offered at quite good prices.
Lucky me (blessed really) I have everything being offered by him. 😊
I'm surprisd Tim's Sermon Archive didn't make it to the discounted offerings from MM.
As for books: Reason for God, Jesus the King, Counterfeit Gods, and Prodigal God are the ones I have and like... don't have experience with the others
Makes you wonder if more TK resources would've been discounted if he had been knocked out in Round 1.

Based on reviews I'm getting 7 out of the eleven available by Tim Keller. Based on reviews I passed on the following: Jesus the king is a collection of sermons based on Mark, the Prayer volume is lacking and offers nothing new, The Generous Justice is not as good as the other works and the same goes for Walking with God through pain where according to reviews it leads people to believe every one has a happy ending after suffering. Example a couple who lost their children but ended up having more, etc. But what about the real life examples where after losing a child people cannot have any more kids? So good, but as a pastor/counselor said, "he wouldn't recommend that book to his clients."
So the others Preaching, the Prodigal God, etc. I'm getting since the reviews were excellent.
Just my thoughts, plus I already have material on similar subjects as those books I passed on.
My top 3 books by Keller (I've read almost all of them - not got round to his Galatians commentary or Christmas devotional yet) are:
1. Making Sense of God (not available in Logos yet)
2. Jesus the King (I read it under the UK title, though - The King's Cross)
3. The Meaning of Marriage
I don't think there is much doubt who they will be.
Moo vs Bruce for the championship.
Moo will take it! 👌

Agreed.

That's what I think too.
I only see The Reason for God and Preaching from Tim Keller as must have's.
I am relatively unacquainted with Keller, but I noticed The Reason for God is currently showing on Amazon as #1 under Books, Textbooks, Humanities, Religious Studies, Christianity. Is this the type of book you would read through once and maybe use some key quotes from, or is it a book you see yourself coming back to? If it was closer to the $5 range I would definitely get it, but at its current price I am on the fence about it.

I really wouldn't know but judging by reviews and the table of contents it looks like a very interesting read. The tagging and the ability to search and highlight the book makes it worthwhile.
