When I open up a new bibliography, I am unable to add from clipboard or selected text. I'm on a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference.

Welcome to the forum and the more information that you give the first time the quicker you may get an answer.
My first thought would be what do you want to add?
I had selected some text from a Bible dictionary which included bibliographic resources. I was hoping to add that selection.
I'm afraid it only adds the citation of the open resource - but the resources that are referenced in the article bibliography. Though that would be a nice feature[:)]
Yes, that would be a nice feature. It also wouldn't list anything else I had selected. Nothing that I'd highlight would be added. Any ideas?
Kate,
Just to clarify the Bibliography tool does not grab the bibliographic references from the text itself. If you select text in a resource it adds the bibliographic information for the resource not the citations within the text you've selected.
Blessings,
Philana
Yes, thank you. I understand that bit. But the tool wont add the bib info for the resource I've selected from. It's simply not working. How might I get it to work?
Is the resource where you have selected the text visible? Meaning it's not covered by another resource or document? Also could you let me know what resource you are trying to do this from?
I've created a case for the issue with not getting citations from a Clippings Document.
Oh that's very helpful. When the Lexham Bible Dictionary isn't covered by anything else ont he screen, then I can add from selected text. Thank you!
The only thing that still doesn't work is when I try to add to my bibliography from a clippings document. Even when the clipping document is up on my screen and not covered, it wont add it to my bib.
I created a new BUG: thread based on this. Philana was able to reproduce and has created a case for it.
