Searching for a word in a commentary

I am using an iPad with Logos on it. I am reading through a commentary and was looking for an explanation of the author's use of "italics" in his translation. So I typed "italics" in the search box. Nothing happens when I do that. I did note that in the search box when nothing is there it says 'reference'.

So then I returned to the level (on the left side of the screen) where I can choose "Search" with a magnifying glass icon. I thought maybe I was trying to search through too many items in my library. It says "Entire Library". So I tried to choose just the commentary. However, the particular commentary doesn't actually show up in that list.

Then, I went to Logos on my Mac. I did find the term (and thus the author's explanation) but still wonder if I could have done it on the iPad app.

The reference box that you tried first is where you enter page numbers/book & chapter references/dictionary article headings etc for the book you're reading - it's for quick navigation rather than searching.

If you download the book to read offline, you can definitely choose the individual title to search from when doing a basic search - downloaded books are generally toward the bottom of the list in my experience (with collections above them).
