Changes to the Grammars section in Guides

In version 7.5 of the desktop software, the legacy version of Grammars guide section has been removed in favor of a newer Grammars section introduced in version 6.3. Owners of the Grammars Cross References Dataset (available via all Logos 7 Feature Sets except for Logos Basic) have been using the new section since that release. Users who do not own this resource can restore the functionality of the missing section by following these steps:

  • Create a new Grammars collection with the rule: type:grammars
  • If owned, manually add the following resources:
Introduction to New Testament Greek by Charles Goodwin and W. David McBrayer
New Testament Greek for Beginners by John Gresham Machen
  • Add a new Collection section to your guide template and select the new Grammars collection

In my quest to deepen my knowledge I went to Logos Help and typed in 'Dataset' no response - is this an omission?

It shows up 33 times in my help file. What were you expecting to see?

. What were you expecting to see?

Something like what you have - but I wasn't expecting to have to put Bible Browser in. Even if I do it doesn't help!

This is true, for me, on both the Beta (Logos and OS) and the Stable (OS and Logos)

Try using the inline search - you are searching on headwords (ToC entries) and dataset isn't one of them

This information needs to be in Help rather than assuming users will remember which beta release triggered the info.
