Ever ditched Logos Now and gone with just Logos 7.x ?

I am considering ditching Logos Now (do they give credit for unused months?) and upgrading to Logos 7.x

Late to the party I know but Logos Now seemed like a viable option at the time and I didnt really a lot of extra books I might never use. I know I can go with only the free engine now too.

As always it comes down to what you need and different options for achieving it.

Why did you go with Logos Now, why are you now thinking of discarding it?

In what was isn't Logos Now still a viable option for you?

Josh, I'm pretty sure you won't get a refund. It's an annual subscription only. So, perhaps during the first 30 days, but not thereafter.

If the new tools and datasets are of no use to you, you have no need for Logos Now. However, I think you will have it for a year.

Josh I believe Logos now is the best option in my opinion. Yes you pay annually but that really breaks down to a little over $8 a month for new features, plus preview resources, a free preview of a mobile ed course (2 a year), plus some discounts on resources. Sort of a hard deal to pass up in my opinion.

Upgrade to what? Purchase the L8 feature sets? You haven't told us what your concerns are, or why LN doesn't meet your needs.

Hi Alabama. I was thinking I missed the boat when I didnt upgrade earlier on when it was probably cheaper.

I dont get much use out of Logos Now really and in hindsight wished I put the money an upgrade (odd as that it to read no doubt).

I have a student discount for a little longer and should take advantage of it while I can I suppose.

If you don't need more books, and if you don't get much use out of Logos Now... what is there to put money towards as an "upgrade"?

A new "library" means more books.
A "feature set" means ownership of datasets.
"Logos Now" provides access to the same datasets as the "feature set," plus much more (including discounts).

If you aren't getting much use out of the features provided in a LN membership, why would you pay MORE money to own those same features?

If you're gonna ditch LN for L7 or L8 anyway, better do it now rather than waiting anouther year or so. All the upcoming months of subscription fees would be wasted..

Not sure I understand the reasoning. He has already paid the yearly subscription, why not keep on enjoying its benefits until it runs out and then upgrade?

I suspect that what Josh is hinting at is that he would prefer to buy the upgrade when he can rather than be tied up to a subscription scheme that he may not be able to continue indefinitely and from which he does not use much that justifies it.

Option is purchasing Feature Set before Logos Now subscription expires. Seem to remember Full Feature Set being more than a year of Logos Now subscription. Also Logos Now (and Verbum Now) subscription includes Online Only items that cannot be purchased.

May want to consider => Logos 7 Extended Feature Set that includes some more resources.
