Simultaneous releases really need to be a priority

The Crucifixion of the Warrior God was being promoted specifically to people who wanted to get the book as close to the launch date as possible, and I was given advance notice that it would be available on 1st April, which it is for the Mac/PC app, but not for the mobile app where I follow my reading plans.

I'm already 2 days behind because I find it so difficult to read PC/Mac screens for more than a few minutes - can I request that you look at doing simultaneous launches whenever possible to avoid frustrations like these? It sounds small, but quick access was being used as a key selling point for this resource.

but not for the mobile app

I feel your pain. For whatever reason, the product page says "This product is temporarily unavailable on mobile."

Well spotted. "Temporarily" is depressingly vague. Hopefully someone will be able to come along and advise. Hoping it's just because people are out of the office and that it will be sorted on Monday, but I don't know if that's optimistic...

Would you try it again? Apparently if we ship a resource after a certain time, it misses the mobile indexer on the server. From what I understand, it should be OK within 24 hours after it ships.

I'm sorry this wasn't available right away. The pre-order co-release thing is new for us and there are a few kinks we have to work out. Thanks for your patience!

OK, apparently it's a bit more complex than I first understood it. I'm going to have someone from the mobile team respond.

Not sure if Warrior God was a publisher limiter.

I just called in my usual refund. This time a commentary purchased Saturday, and 48 hrs later, zippo on the desktop. Oddly enough, it shipped on the mobile. But my policy is no-shippo, no-payo. 7+ years of digital shipping needs to be more reliable.

My desktop experience is the opposite. I buy a resource in Safari, switch to Logos, and somehow Logos automatically starts downloading it within a minute. Digital shipping is too efficient! [:O]

Maybe there's something different about your hardware/software/network that is affecting desktop updates? Can't FL diagnose the problem from your log files?

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I use Amazon to diagnose Faithlife's inabilities .. they ship in literal seconds.

For a long time, the Faithlife mobile app had trouble with ships. Now, the desktop. Somehow the Faithlife server can do updates, just not purchases.  That's not a winning hand.

Hey James-- mobile product manager here. Ben is right-- there are some technical considerations that occasionally cause releases to get out of sync. I'm sorry this happened to you. We're actually exploring ways to mitigate this in the future. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Daniel, thanks for getting back to me - if you're able to give any info about how quickly the issue might be resolved, I'd really appreciate it. do you think I can realistically expect it to be resolved this week? I'm contemplating a refund, but I'd definitely prefer to read the resource in Logos than anywhere else, so if it's something that can be sorted soon-ish I'm happy to wait.

That you refer to it as something falling out of sync kinda leads me to think it might be a pretty quick fix, but I'd be taking a bit of a stab in the dark.

Though we normally hesitate to provide users with specific timelines, in this case I'm told by the relevant team that it is on their list this week to implement. As it's not my team, I can't guarantee that timeline. But you're right-- it's something that should be a fairly quick fix.

I'm wondering if we'll get an update on this today. Similar to the OP, I bought this to read on my Android phone. This resource IS available on the web app but that's not a great reading experience on my phone.

Is there any chance of getting an update on this? I still can't access the book, and it's growing increasingly urgent.

I'm told it should be available some time tomorrow. Let me know if it still isn't.

Thanks for your patience on this!
