Labeling and tagging Notes in Logos 7

I have a number of Bible notes of various length that I have accumulated over the years that are presently in Word docs. I want to bring them into Logos 7 but I want to know if there is a way to index them or label the notes in such a way that when I use a topic search or the fact book on a topic that all the notes that I have on that topic will be pulled up along with all the other resources these tools pull together. I did a little poking around on google with this question but didn't get anything that was definitive or useful.

You can create a Personal Book from a docx file, but only Faithlife can create topics that are accessible via Topic Guide and Factbook.

If your notes are organized by topic (as opposed to bible passages) you can create an Encylopedia which will provide internal access to its topics and access to/from other resources with the same topic name e.g.

The Topic Guide provides resources for the topic "Blessed". If I open ISBE 1915 its Parallel Resource button will list other resources with that same topic name, and it happens to include my Personal Book "My Notes". Conversely, a topic in "My Notes" can provide access to other resources via its Parallel Resource button.

It would help if you provided a sample of your notes e.g. copy a few Notes into a your response, or upload a short Word document.

Thank you for your response. I was not familiar with the whole idea of creating a book and bringing it into logos. This may be something I can use. You asked for a couple of note samples so I have attached two word docs that are representative of the type of notes I have. Both of them directly reference one or more scripture references or passages. At the same time each document would fall into one or more topics in addition to the Bible references. I have them roughly organized by Bible book OR topic right now using Windows file system but it is crude at best. My hope was to begin pulling all these docs into logos and link them up to the Bible references but also attach as many topics as would fit each writeup allowing me to see what I have got by either Bible Book or topic.

My docx file will show you how to attach topics and format non-standard bible references so that you get a popup of the text in your preferred bible.

I used Topic Guide to see what topic names were being used for "Abrahamic Covenant"; hence the inclusion of "Abrahamic Promise". You might not want "Blessing" as it is generic. There was an "Aaronic Blessing" and "The Blessing of Jacob", but nothing specific to Abraham. Likewise "God's Love" and "Love of God" are topic names applicable to "God so loved".

You don't have to combine all your docx files into one file as you can list them in order in the Personal Book tool using "Add file...". They will be compiled into one Personal Book.

Thank you for all this information about the Personal Books in logos. I finally got a chance to play with this. It was relatively easy to do. I put three notes into a docx file and gave them some topic labels and then built the book and compiled it in logos. When I did a search on one of the topics I had used I found my book listed under the parallel resources. What it didn't do was take me directly to the particular note within my book that has that particular topic label attached to it. On the one hand if you have a personal book with 500 notes and 20 of them pertain to a particular topic it is going to be tough for logos to pick which one to go to in the personal book. On the other hand when the personal book is pulled up how do I find which 20 notes pertain to the topic I'm searching on when they are mixed in among 500 notes. Overall I like the concept of the personal book. I'm going to have to think more about how I can really use this for my purposes.

You could locate notes with the same topic adjacent to each other or decide that one note is more important to be labelled with the topic.
