I bought The Theological Journal Library and it appears as a set in Libronix. But I have difficulty pulling it up in L4. Is it because all the journals are separated and would need to be looked up individually? Is there any way to make a collection of just this set and not all the other journals in my library?

    Hi Valarie,

I've made a similar collection by using 'type:journal ANDNOT semeia'. It is easier for me because I only have one journal that was not part of The Theological Journal Library, if you had many other journals, I guess you would have to expand the 'ANDNOT' to include (or more properly, not include) the journals you wanted to exempt.

If you have many, many, many other journals, it may be easier to use the 'add tag' facility under the Library tab. You can quickly and easily select multiple journals (using either shift or ctrl and a left click of the mouse). You will then be able to add a tag to multiple journals in one go. Say you tag all the entries in the Theological Journal Libray as 'favouritejournals', you can then create a collection using, 'mytag:favjournals'.

Is this what you are looking for?

I don't pretend to be an expert with L4 and someone else may have a stellar method I am not aware of!

    God bless,

    Andy

The Journals in the TJL are up to about 18 different publications, depending on what series you got (I think 1-12 is out).  For example, it includes:

    Bibliotheca Sacra
    Westminster Theological Journal
    Trinity Journal
Journal for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood
Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society
Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society
    Journal of Ministry and Theology
    Christian Apologetics Journal
    Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal
    Journal of Dispensational Theology
    Emmaus Journal
    Review and Expositor
    Conspectus
    Southern Baptist Journal of Theology
    Reformed Baptist Theological Review
    Tyndale Bulletin

They don't all share a common series name, so I think the easiest would be to to bring up the Library, type in the name of each of the series above that you have, one at a time (my example below I typed in "Southern Baptist Journal of Theology", click the little "i" to get the information window up, and then add a tag for all of them at the same time by clicking on the top resource, hold the shift key down, then click on the bottom resource anywhere on the line OTHER than on the title name (which will open up the resource!), and then type a tag in where the arrow shows you, below.

Then, create a new Collection, name it, and type mytag:TJL. Then you can do searches against that Collection!

See image for where to tag:image
