I am not able to delete a book from personal books. Is there any possibility?
I had the same problem. I had an uploaded book and then I couldn't delete it. The "delete" (at my Logos it was the german word) was only showing gray, but didn't worked.
So I could delete it with a trick: You rename the book, take another document and complie it new. Then I could delete it
Maybe that works by you too
It did not work.
Are you wanting to delete the compiled book? If so, hide it. If something else, can you clarify what specifically you are trying to do?
If you Upload a PB you will have to hide it as Faithlife have not provided the facility to delete PB's from their server. So, no matter how you try to delete it the server will sync it back! If it was not uploaded I can delete a PB by removing it from the Personal Book tool, but this doesn't work for everybody, so hiding it is the best way (if not uploaded you can safely remove it from Hidden Resources in Program Settings).
Thanks all of you.
This is ridiculous as I created a test document and now I can't delete it...have to hide it.

One idea is compiling a newer version of the PB that is not uploaded so metadata sync to Faithlife servers shows PB has been super-ceded. After sync is done, try deleting PB.
FYI: personally have experienced PB upload having metadata that effectively disables PB data types. Work around was rebuilding PB to update metadata along with not uploading (used scan command to copy compiled PB into other installations)
Keep Smiling [:)]
That appeared to work (i.e. recompile with updated source then deleted it in PB Tool) until I went to a second installation where it downloaded the original version! Coming back to the first installation, the original version was also downloaded.
So I'm staying with the assertion that an uploaded book has to be hidden! And it sync's to other installations.

What do you mean by "effectively disables PB data types"? Did the upload corrupt the metadata?
Curious if metadata about PB recompile sync'd to second installation before PB deletion in first one.
Appreciate assertion.

Yes so reported it last year => Bug: 7.2 RC 3 Regression: Personal Book Discourse Glossary (apologies since have not re-verified Bug for many months)
I have played around with deleting PB's in the past, and concluded that the best option is to do it the old way and not sync. I have a folder with PB's and copy the same folder to each computer with Logos, then I setup each copy of Logos. It's not so bad, as I only have 2 computers with Logos and 54 Personal Books. Once it's done, it's done.
I hope that Faithlife will soon implement a delete function for synced PB's. Until that happens, I'll do it the old way.

Agree. As I don't have too many, I recompile on other installations.
It sync'd original version of the PB because I had to unhide it before recompiling on first installation and then deleted it (I didn't check content). Then it re-downloaded the original version!
I suggest you revisit this in a new thread with less complexity as it was difficult to follow what was happening over multiple posts. Without uploading the PB and without Advanced Prioritization I had no issues with LDGNT milestones and LDGNT references in both PB and ESV.
What type did you use for the PB (I used Dictionary)?

Idea would be syncing metadata after recompiling to second installation before deleting PB on first installation.

Please upload PB to see if subsequent metadata change causes Discourse milestones to be ignored.
Glossary
If someone is regularly compiling new books, the easiest way is the rename the unwanted book with a couple of letter z,s at the beginning of the name so after reloading Logos the book sinks to the end of the list and and then just reuse the book when you next need to create a personal book.
no thanks!
What type did you use for the PB (I used Dictionary)? Glossary
Glossary is N/A on Windows v7.8 and v7.9!
Tengo el mismo problema, no logro eliminar PB, aparece en la biblioteca, pero no aparece en el editor. ¿en qué carpeta (macbook) se guardan los metadatos? necesito ayuda, gracias!!
Hey Tes,
I totally agree that the ability to delete cloud PBBs is a must. Hiding them is not good enough.
C'mon Faithlife! [;)]

Hide it
Abra la biblioteca, seleccione el libro.Opt + clic con el botón derecho en MacSeleccione "Ocultar este recurso" --> "Hide this resource"
Open the Personal Books, from the list of books, right-click on the book you want to delete, and choose delete.
Welcome Robert!
You are right if the goal is to delete the local installation. If the user has uploaded the compiled file, rather than just the metadata, then the book cannot be deleted... just "hidden."
