Looking for some assistance Android app

I had to re-install the Android app 5.12.4 (512041170) - My Android OS is 4.1.2 with no upgrade from Samsung coming - and i use to be able to split screen with two resources. The little grey half-dome isn't showing and not sure how i did it originally. Can anyone offer some assistance?

Solved it. Thank you for anyone who read this post. The gray half-dome was hiding behind the multi-window icon.
