Having decided to go for Amazon Kindle what type or model should I buy? Thanks, Colin
Hopefully some Kindle Fire users will chime in. For clarification, however: It must be a Kindle Fire tablet, and not an eInk "normal" Kindle reader (i.e. paper white, voyage, etc.). I have no use for the Kindle Fire, but that is what you need. The eInk Kindles are top notch.
Hey Colin! When buying a Kindle device for the Logos app, you want to be sure you get one that is compatible, and that it is specifically a Kindle Fire device. You can find a bit more on device specifics on an older forum post here.
I would go for the new Kindle Fire HD - either the 8" ( which is what I have) or the 10". I would get as much memory as you can afford - you might be surprised how many books & apps you install. Also, though the LOGOS does not support it, I would get a large size SD card. Many apps can be stored on the SD card along with their data. This saves the main memory for LOGOS and it's data.
One additional thought. If you will be using the Kindle eco-system for reading as well as studying, you might want to pick up an ink screen reader as well. As a book reviewer, I will often find myself outside, at the ball park, or on a picnic, and am glad to have the ink screen as a backup.
