Personal Opinion on what I still need in the Web App

Guys you have done an amazing job and updating the web app and for me, a self acknowledged novice user, it is close to where I need it to be to really dive into study.  By dive in I mean that the use of the desktop version is minimally needed.  There are two things that are preventing me from being able to do that.

1. A more robust note system.

 - It is great to have notes and highlights period, but they are too basic for me to really be able to use them effectively.  Until we have a more robust note and highlighting engine to drive this I am hindered.

2. Save Layouts

- I appreciate that we have layout ability in the web app but when I think about the current 3 different types of research/study that I am doing I really need the ability to have them open up to where I left them.  I know I can set them up easily each time but it would be a joy to just switch between them and have the layout and resources just like I left them

Syncing both of these with the desktop version would be nice at some point, but currently just being able to accomplish a more robust version of these two features would allow me to work mostly in the web app.  Meaning that syncing with the desktop is a secondary issue and wouldn't be essential in the short term.

Just my thoughts.  Again, I really appreciate all that you are doing and my goal at the moment is to work 90% in the web app and only refer to the desktop for things as needed.

Thanks for the great feedback, Doug.

The new notes system is under active development. I don't have a time frame for when we'll ship it into the app (it's probably months away), but it is a top priority for us.

On layouts, at minimum we'd like to give you the ability to open the app the way you left it when you closed it. We'd like to bring a more robust layouts system, but I'm not sure yet when we'll get to that.

Getting feedback like this is really helpful as we try to prioritize what to do next.

    Thanks!
