Is there a way to make part of the Atlas available offline?
It's pretty hard to use on my slow internet.
Sorry - currently the Atlas is online only
As the Atlas downloads map files for viewing, it stores them locally, allowing offline access to recently viewed maps. There is, however, no support for pre-downloading all of the map files.

We're in the process of re-implementing Atlas using vector maps, which require much less network data and are consequently much faster. If you have access to the Logos Web App, you can get a feel for it there: here's the map for Jesus' Baptism and Temptation.

(but note the Web App doesn't have all the functionality yet of Atlas in the Desktop)
We don't yet have a date for when this new functionality will be released in the desktop app, however.
