Morris Proctor Seminars

I was planning on going to the St. Louis area seminar in April with another Pastor in my town. It is the closest and he and I can save our churches some money by staying with my parents. However, this one is an Inductive Bible Study Seminar and I am not sure if I want to go to it or not.

My alternative is to go to the Chicago one in May, with longer travel and expense. Have any of you been to both? I have been to a regular one years ago (V3), but not the inductive one.

How much difference is there between the two? Any opinions on which would be best? What would I be missing at the Inductive Seminar vs. going to the regular one?

Morris, I know you are on the boards. If you don't mind could you chime in? It might help others who are deciding between the two. I am going to one or the other, so I don't have to be convinced to go. I just want to know the differences.

Thanks!

Jerry

Let me see if I can help. The Inductive seminar is a seminar to teach you how to use the software to do you're own personal bible study (within the software). I know for me, my biggest problem was how can I get this software to help me get prepared for Sunday mornings. And thats what this camp is all about. Morris has this acronym he uses for studying I can't come up with it right now, but he takes you through this process and shows you how to get it done through L4.  For instance Morris will show you if you want to look up the historical context of a text heres how you do it within L4. He is not going to spend a lot of time with the functionality's of the software but more so of setting help collections on background and then show you how to use it for your studies. I think the whole process is on his web site so might wanna look on his site to see if you can see the steps he uses. Oh I am going myself so Jerry let me know if you decide to go and I hope to see you there.

Thanks Jerry. I have decided to go to the St. Louis one, so I will see you there!

Are you from the area? My parents live close by and I am staying with them. If you want to save some money on a hotel, I am sure they would be fine with you staying there too. It is about 30 minutes away.

I attended part 1 last month in Tampa and I was surprised to see that people came from all over the country to attend; of course this time of year in Tampa is usually not a bad place to visit.

The seminar was great.  I would highly recommend it to anyone who has Logos.  I have owned the software for years and this month I am doing things I did not know I could do.

Well worth the time and the money!
