I may be studying Matthews use of the OT in Kingdom and Christology
Logos recommends the Platinum version for this study.
I have 't got this version yet
My question is, will I be restricted significantly without Platinum for this study?Colin

I suggest you follow the Faithlife group set up to discuss this course - https://faithlife.com/bi314/activity (Click on the like and then click Follow)
Then go to the Logos Documents tab where you will see a spreadsheet showing what resources are linked to the course - it also shows you how many time each resource is referenced.
I'd use that to compare the resources you have to those which are accessed to help answer your question.
You can get similar information - but without the reference count) by opening up to the Courses Tool, selecting the course (you will see it in the "Unavailable" section and you will see the Suggested Resources listed there with an indication of whether or not you own them
A recent update to the program has added that reference count to the course's plan details.
It's still beneficial to join the course's Faithlife group.
Good spot - thanks
It's odd they always require Platinum since the Base Package changes when they release a new version of Logos. So there might be a chance that some of the resources available previously in a Platinum BP are no longer available in the current Logos version of a Platinum BP. I think they always recommend it because BDAG is always available in Platinum and above.

I don't think that's the case - the reasons they give are (from one of the course descriptions)
With any Logos library base package, you will be able to view the lectures and interact with the transcripts. For the best learning experience, we recommend you use Logos Platinum.
BDAG - for example - isn't listed as a suggested resource for this particular course.
Although some resources that a course would use might be in Logos 7 Platinum, it's common for courses to make extensive use of other resources which aren't in Platinum (or higher tiers).
In my experience, specific volumes from commentary sets (that aren't sold in any Logos 7 library) tend to top that list.
I would not recommend buying Platinum simply for Mobile Ed. You might find it more beneficial to use that money to add other resources to your library which will be useful in general long after you complete a particular course.

Yes, there definitely are particular course resources which were included in L6 Platinum, but aren't in L7 Platinum. I suspect it all balances out, though, as a course may use something in L7 Platinum that hadn't been in L6 Platinum.
Yeah, thanks for that
Grill thanks, where can I find the courses logo?
Sorry, I'm new to logos
Thanks, do you think that I should do the course without Platinum?
I don't want to be struggling needlessly.

You'd need Platinum only for some readings that may (or may not) be already in your library and that typically - but not definitely - would be part of a Platinum library. And remember that such readings are helpful for understanding the course topic, but are normally not discussed in the course. And if you lack only a small number of those (or can supplant them with other, comparable material), no harm is done.
The actual readings in this course are contained in a spreadsheet available from https://faithlife.com/bi314/documents/13030 for followers of the course group on Faithlife.com - see for yourself:
Thanks for that. How do I locate the group that are studying the same course?
Also where do I go to fi d resources required for same?
Graham already posted the link above: https://faithlife.com/bi314/activity - just click "Follow"
The resources are those I posted above. The Courses Tool in Logos 7 will even show you whether you own those or not.
EDIT: go to Tools/Courses and search for BI314
It will look like this and show you the resources I posted above - with a lock symbol or a green dot with a checkmark.
The locked ones you are lacking. Clicking a resource will try to load it in a new tab, and those you don't own will offer a link to Logos.com (such as the "Matthew (27x) I don't own which is the Teach The Text Commentary on Matthew by Jeannine K. Brown (makes much sense to buy that since she teaches the course - and it's not in the Platinum base package)
FWIW, many of us have upgraded to Platinum or higher over time. The advantage of the library makes an unrivaled means to study in depth. If you have the time to read extensively and the means to get Platinum, you won't regret having it. It goes far beyond the requirements of a single course.
