There are two types of resource updates. Sometimes a resource has minor changes and is considered the same "edition." When those kinds of changes occur, the user gains the update free of charge automatically. In other cases, the revisions constitute a brand new resource. I assume that would be the case here, but I don't know for sure. If so, it would require a separate purchase. If not, they could be working on it and an update be pushed at any time. Either way, FL rarely comments on when an item might ship, at least until it is very near.

The NASB and Amplified Bible are both put out by the Lockman Foundation, which has allowed Faithlife to continue offering both the 1977 and 1995 NASB. My hope is we can extrapolate from this that the update to the Amplified Bible will be offered as a separate product and that both editions will be allowed to co-exist.

Olivetree still sells Amplified Classic and Amplified 2015 so there is no reason to think that FL wouldn't be able to sell both as long as they chose to. And in general FL usually doesn't pull items unless there is good reason to (usually forced to by the publisher/rights holder, although there was the Dracula issue a few years back and more recently The Not-So-Intelligent Designer: Why Evolution Explains the Human Body and Intelligent Design Does Not, this later work was actually very well written and worth the read, but because some people felt it was a slap in the face to deeply held ideas it was lost to a wider audience). If you do not wish to own a book do not buy it, don't ban it because it offends you. If all offensive works were banned we would have a very small store since calvinists can be offended by arminian works and vice versa, some evangelicals are deeply offended by some catholic works and vice versa.

At some [unspecified, indefinite] point [moment, day, epoch] in the future [unrealized chronology, after present time].

Yes! When is the newer version of the Amplified Bible going to be added to Logos? This is not some obscure version that nobody knows about. This is much more prominent than 95% of the books available in Logos--a glaring omission, if you will. I listen to Brian Hardin's Daily Audio Bible each through the app, and they switch versions each week. I like to follow along in Logos as Brian reads the Bible each day. At least a couple times a year, he reads from the Amplified Bible, and not the 1987 version that is currently available in Logos. It's the newer version and it's much different than the 1987 version, to the point where it's useless trying to follow along in that version. Faithlife, please add the 2015 version of the Amplified Bible to Logos. Thank you!

To get it add it to feedbear the feedback site and get the votes ...
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Feedbear doesn't seem to be for the end-user. Maybe it's something Logos could subscribe to and use?

I'm not sure why you think that.
Faithlife has encouraged us to use it to submit / vote on feature requests.

LOL! Thanks for that Robert!
By any chance have you (or anyone else here) ever seen "Yes Minister" and "Yes, Prime Minister", some 1970s and 80s british comedy series? It was about the weeky battle of wits between a politician actually trying to get things done, much to the annoyance of the chief of the civil service for whom "status quo" is the only thing that matters.
So politician would ask, "Humphrey have you done that thing yet? When will it be ready?", and of course the answer would always be forthcoming, "Prime Minister... these things take time... when the moment is ripe... in the fullness of time!"
Translation: "Not while I'm alive if I can help it!"
You just reminded me of that! My favourite episode is one where politician discovers there's a hospital operating with 500 administrators and no patients and Humphrey actualy has an explanation for it! [:D]

I'll have to look that one up! I, too, have an affinity for British humor.

Ok. Now that I have the link, thanks to you, Graham, it makes sense. Because if you go directly to Feedbear.com, you'll see that it is geared towards corporations seeking a feedback collection platform.

I am surprised that we still don't have updated version from Logos and for so many years, no one officially responded.

Olive Tree has it and Study Bibles with their respective graphics function better there. I have plenty SB in Logos but when it comes to graphics, Logos is the worst of all Bible softwares to view graphics within their ecosystem. Hopefully the new CEO can fix this since nobody in the past has really cared. They used to be ok, but they made graphics worse.

PS. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that new edition to make it to Logos any time soon.

Graphics and a more sophisticated atlas software tool have been on my wishlist since Logos 4.

Nice! At this point, I'll take it however I can get it. Usually bibles are $9.99 in Logos though.
If anyone is interested in the study notes: https://www.logos.com/product/227921/the-amplified-study-bible-notes
