Logos App Still Best Highlighter
Ok, so I like to highlight. Then I delete all my highlights. One of the best features of digital books!
Two competitors to Logos recently tried to catch up, making a valient effort.
Kindle. I think the Voyager. Believe it or not, each of my 3 Paperwhites highlight differently (Classic, Voyager, and Oasis). The latest attempt tries to assume highlight if 4 or more words. But not quite ... you have to touch again to make the deal. Now, 3 words, it displays a different menu. So, you have to be on your toes. Not easy like Logos.
Accordance. I think they're trying to copy Logos. That's my impression. But the code is more molassas-y than Logos4. It's excruciating. So, yes, Logos wins again. Now, OTH, Accordance just amazed me again (previously being able to easily page high-res images quickly). The update allows re-sizing images in the text itself. Whoa! Of course they do image zoom too.
Now, just to be fair, Accordance and Olivetree sync Bible text. Logos still is trying very hard to do 'sync'. Example below. I didn't make a thread, since the Logos desktop also has similar struggles since 2009. You'll also notice the footnotes are not lined up, either.
But no problem. Highlighting!

Good to hear that this has been your experience. Unfortunately, mine has been different. After endless problems with highlighting using the various FL mobile reader apps on my iPad Pro, I switched to Kindle for those kinds of books that I tend to read on my iPad. A few months back, I was told by FL support that they might have fixed my problems, but given the library that I now have on Kindle, I haven't switched back. Right now, my approach is:
Serious study: Buy from Logos and use on Logos desktop app
Other reading: Buy from Amazon and read on Kindle.
