I just noticed that when I copy and paste a selection from the ABD that the accompanying citation is lacking the volume number. For example:
Affinities with specific dominical sayings include 1 Pet 1:10–12 (Matt 13:17; Luke 24:26); 1:13 (Luke 12:35); 1:17 (Matt 6:9; Luke 11:2); 2:12 (Matt 5:16); 2:19–20 (Luke 6:27–36); 3:9, 14; 4:5 (Matt 12:36); 4:13–14 (Matt 5:10–11, 39; Luke 6:22–23, 28); 5:6 (Luke 14:11); 5:7 (Matt 6:25–27).
John H. Elliott, “Peter, First Epistle of,” ed. David Noel Freedman, The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary (New York: Doubleday, 1992), 271.
The above citation has the page number but fails to state that the quote comes from volume 5.
There is probably a different channel I am supposed to report this in, and if someone can direct me then I will follow that path. Apologies in advance.
