That's odd (John 2:15 - "overturned")

In John 2:15, doing a Greek (Reverse Interlinear) Lookup on the English word "overturned" does not open my preferred Lexicon (BDAG). Instead it opens the Lexham Analytical Lexicon to the Greek New Testament. The term (ἀναστρέφω) does occur in BDAG, which even includes John 2:15 as an example usage.

I've tried this with the NIV, ESV, NRSV, and LEB. However the NLT works as expected (?!). This happens even when BDAG is open and on top of the panel beside my Bibles.

Explanation?

I think it's incorrect tagging in some versions - including the ones you mention.

As you can see the NIV has an additional "σ" which is why it doesn't find a match in BDAG.

I don't think there are textual issues that would explain this so I think it's an error in tagging

It's true that the Greek word is spelled differently, but, as I said, ἀναστρέφω does occur in BDAG, as does ἀνατρέπω.

This same behaviour occurs with DBL Greek.

NLT uses ἀνατρέπω, which is recognised by DBL Greek whilst ESV etc use ἀναστρέφω which does not occur in DBL Greek. It deserves an investigation.
