Bible Reading Plans Notes

Hi Logos 4 Userland,

Have any of you a "need" to speed up making Notes as you read through a chapter?

It would be more convenient and speedy to have an "Untitled Note" in the right click on a verse or verses selected to have an available "Untitled Note" to click on, rename and then fill in the Note below it.

Right now, I have to go up to "File" and select the word "Notes" to populate the upper left Notes column with an "Untitled Notes" which can then be selected to add the desired section title. Then, I have to select the verse(s), right click on the selected verse(s) and in the pop-up window select the newly installed section Note title to cause a box to open below the section title in which I can add my comment.

Is there a more direct, convenient, fast process?

You don't have to create a new note file for every note. A note file is considered a category to which you add any number of individual notes. You can access any open note files in the right click menu. If none are open, you have access to the most recent one you used. This video might help - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACjJKvjimlY.

Bill, it's much easier if you use a single Notes file (calling it "Untitled Notes" is OK, but it's better to give it a name, once, at the beginning; e.g., Bible Study Notes). Within each notes file, there will be lots of notes. Each note in a notes file can have its own title if you want it too, but if you're just making annotations on Scripture verses it is unnecessary and most people leave the titles of the individual notes blank (however Logos does now automatically supply a summary of the Bible text as the note title, which you can override if you want to). As you go through the Bible, whenever you come to a place where you want to attach a note, right-click, and you will have the option to Add a note to "Untitled Notes" (or whatever you called it) if that notes file is open or was the most recently created if you have no notes files open.

The notes will be added one by one to your notes file, with a reference to what Scripture passage each one is attached to.
