Using FaithLife to lead a Bible study

Apologies if this has been asked previously (I searched and came up empty), but my son is looking to lead a Bible study group over the summer (middle school children) and expressed interest in using FaithLife. I'm coming up empty with articles/blogs/tutorials to help get him started on how to accomplish something like that with the software/site. Obviously, he can create a reading plan and there is discussion functionality built-in. Is there additional functionality in FaithLife that would facilitate such a group study, esp. for kids that are tech-aware?

The first thing that comes to mind is using handouts of the lesson.

I use Logos/Faithlife in preparing for the bible study I teach on Sunday. And the way I do it is I gather some questions about the text and the use the software to research answers. I am more of a question/answer type teacher, but I find if I don't have answers myself I hear quite a few crickets chirping.

Your question can be answered in several ways! There's a lot it could mean. I think a good leading question to help the forum understand how to help you would be is you could answer:

Is he looking to use Logos during the discussion to show them how and what it is he is reading/studying? (Like guiding the study through the program on a screen?)
Are you looking to use Faithlife Groups as a social media component to post questions, discussions, or inform the Middle Schoolers about the group times and activities?
Are you asking if the kids can download FL mobile apps to follow along?
Are you looking to see what Tools or Guides would be most helpful in creating or presenting a study? (Like how James mentioned using Handouts for the kids.)
OR are you asking what books and resources would be helpful to purchase in preparing a Middle School bible study?

Hope that makes sense! It would help frame the discussion to give you the right info you need, and not what you don't.
