Design problem: Video player cuts off part of video, doesn't disappear

When playing videos, the built-in video player in Verbum / Logos cuts off the bottom part of the video. Even in full screen it cuts off part of the video, although less.

This is common in video players, but usually the bar will disappear after 5 or 10 seconds or so. If you do not want the bar to disappear, then it would be good to adjust it so that it doesn't cut off part of the video.
