I'm doing some reception-history work on the early chapters of Genesis in the 19-20th centuries. I've come across the interpretation (alluded to to only briefly in my source) that Moses was shown six visions (one for the first six days?). I've also come across something Matthew Schlimm calls "the Seven-Day-Explanation Theory" which sounds similar.
However, I've had no luck searching in Logos or google to find further explanations or historical data on who put forth these theories and when.
Any suggestions on sources or better terminology/search terms to use?
