SUGG: Multiple Indexes

Is there a reason why we need one huge index which appears to need to be completely re-indexed with the addition of every single resource? Why, for example, are the bibles indexed together with other resources when they appear to be, almost without exception, searched, separately. The reverse interlinears take an extraordinary amount of time to index (on my computers well over 3 hours to index them all). I f I buy a small monograph, I am compelled to reindex the ESV... why?
