Need Help: What are these references?

I have two questions:

What is the 1 QH referring to? The only thing I can think of is Qoholeth (ecclesiastes). They are blue linked, but nothing comes up when I click on them
Why do the "pop up" reference numbers differ from the reference in the EDNT article? (you need EDNT to see this)

I feel I should know the answers, but am stumped. THanks!

okay, I didn't even think about right clicking (which is odd because I had right clicked to figure out book abbrv. in a Word study list earlier!). So it is something to do with Qumran Dead Sea scrolls maybe? But I still don't get the reference. You show (hovering) what I show, but to this dull ex-seminarian, that looks like a different reference than the reference that is in the article itself. Shows my lack of understanding of the DSS, probably.

I have Dead Sea Scrolls Study Edition, but for some reason it does not jump to it when I click on it, it pulls up Power Lookup. Do I have to do something for them to link properly?

As an FYI, here are the three references:

The stuff in brackets is either a text restoration or the [...] are a gap of unspecified length.

PS - I even tried setting "Send all hyperlinks here" in DSS Study Edition and it still brings up Power Lookup!

I think "1Q" identifies the cave the scroll was found in, Qumran 1.

"Ha" identifies which scroll from cave 1. In my old SBL Handbook of Style, Ha is an unopened scroll. Apparently it has now been opened and published?

I think "col v" refers to the column of the scroll and "17" to the line.

If I'm wrong I hope someone corrects me.

I don't think the links are correct in EDNT. If I look at a link from within the Dead Sea Scrolls Study Edition via right-click, there is also a Reference entry in the right column. There is none in EDNT.

Maybe someone smarter than I can examine this, but I suspect there is something wrong with the links in EDNT.

Bumping this, I am curious - is this a bug that needs to be reported, or a resource problem, what do you think?

To summarize, links to the Dead Sea Scrolls Study Edition (DSSSE) from EDNT do not go there, they go to the Power Lookup (even if DSSSE is marked to 'Send Hyperlinks here'). Links from within DSSSE itself do go there, and the info that comes up on a right-click looks slightly different when comparing EDNT and DSSSE.

I would like to get this fixed if anyone has some advice, or if Logos can chip in...thanks!

I think these must be synonyms for the references. I came across that today too in another resource (Commentary on the New Tesatment Use of the Old Testament). It referred to 1QM XII, 13 in the text, but when I hovered over it, the popup said 1Q33 Col. xii:13. I can click on the link and it opens the resource which I do fortunately have in my Library (Dead Sea Scrolls: Study Edition). The heading at the beginning of the section it jumps to says: 1Q33 (1QM) 1QWar Scroll. So apparently 1Q33 and 1QM are two different ways of referring to the same scroll. I don't know why. I've never studied the DSS.

I did find this info in the Foreword: "The materials are arranged according to cave and serial number. For the materials which do not have a serial number (1QIsa^a, 1QIsa^b, 1QH^a, 1QM, 1QS, 1QapGen, 1Qphab, and the three included non-Qumranic texts) we have adopted the procedure of the Companion Volume to the microfiche edition, placing them in the immediate vicinity of the corresponding materials which do have a serial number."

The problem is, the links from within EDNT do not jump to DSSSE (I have the resource).

I want to test with Commentary on Old Testatment use of New, where is a footnote to the DSS that you tried and it hyper jumped successfully?

You don't have DSSSE in your Priorities or anything do you?

Mary-Ellen is correct here except that the H in this case refers to Hodayot "Thanksgiving". The primary Thanksgiving Scroll was amongst the earliest found - not sure why SBL referred to it as unopened....
