Sigh - why can't you guys do this?
On every app except the computer app - you can't copy and paste verses with references. You can do it effectively in free web apps such as Blue Letter Bible. Thoughts? You gonna tell me make a feature request? That I have been doing for years for the iOS apps? That we still can't? That I have to use a free iOS app to do? Seriously. Another incomplete app. I wish I would've invested in a different study app more and more.

Robert, I'm sorry the web app isn't behaving according to your expectations when copying text. Can you tell me more about what steps you are taking and the behavior you are trying to get?
We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention and I hope we can help.

I highlight the text (as per desktop app), right click, click on reference, no copy option available. Visual copy is, etc. Thats on a Mac, in Safari and Firefox.
So when I just right click and copy or Cmd+C, then no references in the paste.
Trying to do bible study, and want to move quickly. I know I can just type, 1Co. 5:11-12, etc. But I don't want to. Have spent too much on this for it not to work as well as free apps.

Ah, thank you for that clarification. We have a case to add the "Copy Bible Verse" feature on our backlog.
We greatly appreciate user feedback as we attempt to prioritize new features and improvements.

Simple usability features like this one you mention don't seem to be a priority or are really hard to do for the Web App developers at Logos. Meanwhile they can add some really obscure features to the desktop and mobile apps. Development does seem to be moving faster, but the things I would like to see and I often see asked about in this forum, like I said, aren't a high priority or are too hard to do. Maybe the only thing more important than a good copy feature are Notes that work really well or at least as well as the Desktop app.

We'll prioritize Copy Bible Verses. Our next generation notes platform is underway as we speak. It's a top priority for us.
Are there other things you think should be prioritized but aren't? We're happy to reconsider our priorities. We're always trying to listen to what users want to see us do next, so keep the suggestions coming.

Robert, would this style work for you?
John 1:14–18 (ESV): 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’ ”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.
What would you like to see different? Verse numbers in superscript? Not bold? Main reference on a separate line? No version abbreviation?
We'll need to pick a general style for v1. We'll add the ability to choose different styles and create your own in a future release. But your help in getting the general style right is appreciated.

Thats perfect. Always better to give the reference first when preaching. While you're at it, with the desktop app could you make it where a Cmd+C copies and pastes with references?

Right on. Seems like the most used features are the least operative. I sometimes will study from Olive Tree Bible because I can just zoom through, using Cmd+C/V and it pastes with references intact. So it can be done. They should head-hunt some of those guys. Plus look at Blue-letter-bible - they seem to be using a flash or java type thing for their copy/paste.

Different formats of Copy Bible Verses would be great. Also consider:
-Inline page numbers as a visual option as it is in the desktop. It's necessary for proper citation in academic work.
-Fixing reading plans to work properly in the web app. Presently, they don't.

Page numbers visual filter is high on the list for the next two-week sprint. I'd expect to see it ship in the next four weeks.
Reading plans is on the list, but we're rethinking them a bit and want to make sure we build them the right way rather than just bringing over the desktop implementation.

Thanks in general! I'm grateful that web app development is providing opportunities like this that will eventually make their way back to the other platforms.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Good to hear! Do this & I'll be extremely happy. [:D]

Phil,
Here is something for consideration:
I like to highlight Bible text during Sunday school and during the sermons at church. I use an IPad mini. The church uses NIV but I like to study in ESV. My ultimate goal is to be able to highlight in one translation and see the highlights in the other.
Thanks to Corresponding Notes and Highlights I can do this with my laptop and desktop Logos, but haven't figured how to do it with the IPad.

Rich text in copy and paste is surprisingly hard on the web, so we'll start out with plain text, which means no superscript at first. But we'll work on bring more customization in future releases. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes. You can do this in the desktop.
- Open the Copy Bible Verses tool (https://ref.ly/logos4/CopyBibleVerses).
- Click on the text after "Copy" to select your preferred style. Fully Formatted may be what you're looking for.
- If not, find the closely style to what you're looking for and click "Create a new style" in the bottom left of the styles menu. You can also find this in the panel menu. Edit the style to match what you'd like.
If you give me an example of what you're looking for, I'd be happy to help you create the style.
Edit: Missed Graham's post where he links to how to create your own style. If you need some help, just post back.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure it's on our list for our mobile team.
