As hard as the people who do all the tagging work behind the scenes work to get it right sometimes they do make an error. We have the Report Typo Feature for 'typing' errors and I believe it is time we had a similar tool for tagging errors that we come across.
While I know some of you have suggested in the past, including if memory is correct some FL employees, to simply use Report Typo or to use some obscure email address that you never remember and never know where to find it when you do want it, I believe a separate Report Taggo (for want of a better description) is required.
I believe such a feature is required because
1) I said earlier email addresses are obscure, hard to find when you want them and new users and users who don't frequent the forums will quiet possibly not know about them and FL should be looking at ways to ensure they get feedback from all users not just those who use the forums.
2) The software design actually discourages you from using Report Typo for tagging errors. The right click menu is context sensitive - which is generally a good thing, but not in this particular context. The report typo feature is only available when I have the text selected on the right click menu, when I have the tag in question selected, it is not available. Not all users of the software will realise they need to switch from selecting the tag to selecting the text to be able to report the tagging issue using the software.
3) Tagging issues are in the control of faithlife and can be corrected more quickly by FL than can typo's which require verification and potentially back to the publisher in some instances. Having the software automatically stream reported tagging issues directly into a different stream, to the correct department is a time saving measure which has to be a win for FL in terms of cost and in terms of them being able to be more responsive to their customers.
