Hello Dan I need your expertise. Tell me, if I download the Lite version of accordance will that allowed me to see BAR and all the BAR pictures or do I need a premium package like starter and up?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give,
DAL
No, you have to buy the BAR.
Hans (not Dan)
Ok, good!
Thanks, Hans!

As far as I can tell there are no limitations with regards to viewing modules (resources/books) with the Lite version, but I'm not sure about search features. I believe basic searching is available. Haven't really played with the Lite version myself.
I strongly suggest asking questions like this in the Accordance forums. It's more appropriate and they have a very good community over there.

Will do, thanks!
Lite has 2 basic limitations the interactive atlas requires purchase of the full version and the timeline also doesn't function under lite, other than that I believe it is 100% functional.

By full you mean Starter and up, right?
I still haven't purchased anything. The sale on BAR products will be over tomorrow. So I still have some time left, since I'm mostly getting it for BAR and maybe something else in the future. Thanks!
If you get BAR, remember the BAR imagery is not as high resolution as the other Accordance products. Meaning, their other media is really good. Their mobile app is a little funky, but the media support is very unique (good).
Basically all I have from Accordance is the media, Carta, and some resources Logos doesn't have.
Yes starter is the cheapest way to get the full version.

The photos in the Biblical World in Pictures also by the Biblical Archaeology Society have higher resolution photos still not up to Accordances usual high quality, but they have to work with what they are given. the BWP has also been reduced to a price of $30 regular and $15 on sale.
Wasn't the biblical world in pictures like $150 dollars when Logos had it?
What other Accordance picture products are you referring to?

$179.95 actually, was the Logos price.
The picture products in Accordance are many but the crown jewel in my mind is: Accordance Bible Lands PhotoGuide below is the full description of the almost 2.5 GB set of photos, this use to be a single module before it started to become a bit unwieldy in size:
The Accordance Bible Lands PhotoGuide has been the cornerstone of a number of Accordance's exclusive graphics tools for well over a decade. Now we are pleased to announce the latest edition of the PhotoGuide.
This latest PhotoGuide Collection sets a new standard for experiencing biblical sites from the comfort of your armchair (or desk, or favorite corner coffee shop). It's nearly as close as you can get without traveling to the Holy Land yourself!
In addition to this Overview Collection, the PhotoGuide Collection also contains:

Thank you, Dan
I picked up BWP. But unfortunately I 'looked back' and was forced to purchase additional media or be turned to salt.
Surprisingly the first extra media purchase was discounted to $10! So, of course, I had to add more. But the deep discount only worked on the first one. Sigh. But gorgeous ...the near-eastern module.
Below is a zoomed section of the Shalmamessar III ... whether a scarab beetle was used.
I am guessing you got the overview and wanted more... Accordance is good with their sales 2-4 times a year you will find an anything sale 20-25% off any item and the modules themselves go on sale a couple times a year i think... I have no official connection but I think I have seen the set go for $99 a couple of times.... Generally Accordance has a similar policy to FL dynamic pricing.
I think I'm up to set 4. I fear this is endless (the new sets).
I would agree with this - can I please ask that this discussion be taken somewhere else?
Actually, Graham, I was hinting to Mother Logos to provide better media support ... resolution, image zooming, etc
Direct suggestions don't seem to communicate well.
I suspect that is DAL's point as well ... BAR support.

BAR SUPPORT! BAR SUPPORT! BAR SUPPORT! But do it cheap too! It's obvious Logos is not the best at everything, so there's no real justification for jacking up prices so high 😁 Besides, I might not even buy, so we'll see 😜

My apologies.. I see your point and will not continue here....
Since this is a FL related question.. the price was set by the publisher and was similar list price at Accordance. Over the years the price dropped and just now got another drop.
My apologies too, but hopefully this will get FL's attention and they might, at least, try to communicate something and share why they can't get these resources and more over to the Logos platform.
Why Publishers don't want to get on board, and stay onboard in the case of existing publishers, is a question FL need to ask themselves internally and be honest with themselves in answering, details of business relationships and negotiations are not a topic to be discussed on a public forum. As much as we want answers to satisfy our curiosity and to give understanding to why we are disappointed with the current situation, giving those answers may prejudice future business relationships with these particular or other publishers.

In that case, they shouldn't squeal when their customers discuss how to accomodate Logos' secret lack of success ... BAR, journals in general, Carta, etc.
When I was at the Walmart, they had taken back-washing brushes out of the assortment. The Walmart lady kindly told me which competitor carried them nearby. I returned to Walmart the next week ... good customer service.
It's the customers that tend to be tribal.
Apologies.... What is BAR?
