Homepage Change 7.7 Beta 3

Used to be, reading plans I made populated on the left hand side of the homepage and it showed the book covers of the book I was reading. None of my reading plans have the book covers any longer. The second issue is I have 3 bible reading plans, from the LEB, NASB95, and ESV. The LEB is a year plan, the NASB95 is a 2 year plan and the ESV is just on Ephesians. The ESV is my prioritized favorite translation. But now when I click on the reading for the LEB the ESV opens. The same issue is when I click the NASB95 reading the ESV opens. I can open the bibles themselves and read what I need. But my homepage is not working like it always as.

I thought the covers were dropped a long time ago (introduction of Logos 6?) - when do you think you last saw them?

What version is shown when you hover over a reading plan entry on the homepage?

That may be the case, I don't remember when I stopped seeing the covers. But when I hover over the reading it shows the correct translations, but opens the ESV.

Do you have a "Bible Reading Plan" "Home Page Layout" defined which specifies the ESV?
If so this will be used when clicking on the reading plan - assuming there are no resources currently open in the "workspace" area

It's the standard Bible Reading Plan in the Homepage Layouts. It should have no influence on my reading plans. The ESV is my preferred bible translation I have prioritized, but still should have no influence on the reading plans for the LEB or NASB95.

I had a custom Passage Study layout in my homepage layouts. I restored it to the default, but still my reading plans open only to the ESV when they should open to the translation specified in the reading plan.

Matt, I took a look at your account, and it does appear that you have a custom layout defined for your Bible Reading Plan in the Homepage Layouts Section. This is definitely the cause the ESV showing up when you navigate to the reading. Is this not showing the "Custom" label beside that entry in the list? If not, try right clicking on Bible Reading Plan, and choosing "Replace with current layout", then right click again and "Restore default layout".

I remember this now. I just wanted to Bible when I click on the reading plans, not the passage guide nor the explorer tool. So, now that I restored to the default it did indeed open the correct translation along with the passage guide and explorer tool. So, without changing the default, how do I get rid of the passage guide and explorer tool without having to delete it every single day. The reading plans should just open the bible so I can read it.

The only way I am aware of is to ensure that you have something else already open in the workspace before clicking on the reading plan entry - in that case only the Bible will be opened.

Agreed - but that isn't currently how the software works.

Awesome! Thanks Graham. Learned something new today and it works like a charm.
