Typing in notes is slow with the result that I have to wait for it to catch up to what I have written. There was an issue with notes in split view taking up 90% of the CPU, and after the update that fixed that the typing in notes was fine for a few days, but it is now back to the slow pace it was at before the update.

Hi Jordan - and welcome to the forums

Sorry to hear about the delay you are experiencing.

What sort of network connection do you have / what sort of speed?

And are you running on Windows or Mac?

I am on Mac (10.12.5). My connection is fine. I just ran a speed test with my connection via the seminary and it was about 100Mbps download and 200Mbps upload. The issue happens at work too. I'm using Logos 7.6 SR-1 / 7.6.0.0037.

~What version of Logos are you using, Jordan? I don't see any indication, based on the account I found connected to your user name, that you're using Logos 6 or Logos 7. Can you click the Logos menu in the top left-hand corner and click "about Logos Bible Software" and then tell us what version it says you're using?~

Either our account information hasn't refreshed or you're using a different email. Anyway, what happen if you open Logos offline? To do that quit Logos, go to your Applications folder, single select the Logos icon, and hold down the Command key. Hit the 'O' key with the Command key down, continue holding it until you see the sign in window. Let go of the Command key and click "Work offline." Let us know if the behavior continues when offline. If it does what is the name of the document this is happening with?

It is a notes document title "Romans Translation." The typing is still slow when offline.

    Hi Jordan,

I was unable to replicate the behavior you describe when using that note document. Do you have a good amount of other panels open in Logos when this happens? Perhaps you could take a screenshot of the Logos window when this happens.

What else are you running on your computer? The next time this happens can you open ActivityMonitor and sort by CPU % to see if anything aside from Logos is hitting your CPU hard. Then check to see how much memory is available and is being used overall by clicking the Memory tab and looking at the information at the bottom. You can also sort by memory percentage to see what applications are using the most.
