REQ: User Modified Authors & Publishers or Report Metadata
Thank you for the User Modified Titles, however I am getting annoyed at the bibliography data [:@], I know its generated from whats in the printed book, and agree that Logos should produce it as is.. but there needs to be a way of submitting the "Correct" metadata just like we submit typo's, or, can we please be allowed to Rename Authors (a new user tag) and maybe publishers too..so we can group all their books together easily..
author example.. and this is just 1 page.
Publishers Name is just as bad if not worse..
Logos's own publications are a perfect example, but there are lots of others as well..
Need I say more..
Please allow us to sort this mess out should we desire too.. it will benefit everyone..

UPDATE: I can sort of understand and forgive the inconsistent ways of punctuating, including or not including the "Inc." in Logos Research Systems's name, or even calling it just Logos or Logos Bible Software sometimes.
But Reasearch and Reserach?! No excuse. And Logos research Systems is just plain sloppy.

Incidentally, there is the Metadata Correction Proposals page on the wiki, and Logos has been addressing these (see the long list at the bottom of the page of things they've fixed already). I'd kind of prefer to keep letting Logos be the one to fix these rather than going through my whole library fixing the consistency of how names and publishers display, though I'd welcome the ability to override built-in metdata should I choose to do so.

Logos should be the ones to sort out the mess. The inconsistencies are as visible to them as to us and they have been working on an automated method for metadata maintenance since December. But it has been frustratingly slow to see much fruit from this labour (via the wiki page where they respond to our proposals).

Some proposals for consistency
...
Authors and Publishers are listed multiple times with
slightly different spelling (sort the library by author/publisher to see
them)....
There is little to be gained by being more specific with every author & publisher typos.
