Please keep feature product pages up to date

This has come up before and as I recall there were some pages that were kept up to date while others were not. This morning I wanted to inquire about the Bible browser. I know it has been expanded and I wanted to find out whether the expansions would be useful to my work right now and decide whether to buy it. So I head to logos.com find the Bible browser page (https://www.logos.com/logos-pro/bible-browser).

Well, there is only a very brief description and an outdated video that shows the very basic categories that were available at the very beginning. I spent quite a bit of time trying to track down another page or announcements of new features that were made on the forums before I gave up because I have other things to do.

Can FL please update their product pages as they go? When you release new features and announce them, update the corresponding pages at the same time. And it will not do to say that there is one page somewhere that keeps track of them. Too many "solutions" are of that kind: we need what works most naturally for customers. Customers will not remember a special page but will do exactly the kind of thing I did this morning and be frustrated if these points of entry are not well maintained.

As it is, I have not made a purchase because I could not find the answers I was looking for.

This is a great point, Francis. Might be worth ping it over to Customer Services in an email. You'll likely get a much faster reply.

I agree.  I do appreciate the videos and can still usually get some benefit from them even when they're not up-to-date.  But they can also be confusing at times when they're not current especially when changes made to the feature itself no longer correspond to the video.  When that happens, the result can be something as simple as getting a different result list, to something much more frustrating (such as discovering only by trial and error) that you can get the same result but have to do something different to get it than the process shown in the video.  But in the worst cases, I've simply given up trying because I couldn't figure out how to make it work in the time I had available.

Again, in general I appreciate the videos and I appreciate that Faithlife has a lot going on, so updating training videos may not be a top priority.  But at the same time, an out-of-date training video can likened to misinformation, so it would be great if they could be kept current.

    Hi, Francis,

I'm sorry about this. You're right, this video should cover the current datasets that Bible Browser intersects with. We'll get that updated ASAP. In the meantime, here's a quick screenshot of the facets currently available:

Please note that there are plans to expand on these facets in the not-too-distant future.

Absolutely! It's really important to us at Faithilfe, and to me and the rest the Logos Pro team personally, to give you the best training we can. If you ever come across outdated information, or would like to see a new video on a topic we haven't covered, please email LogosPro[at]faithlife.com.
