what is the best way to search for documents relating to ecumenical councils, creeds etc?

 Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox Theological Discussion Group

    Topic Guide for Creeds and confessions suggested search or Everything for:

    <Topic Creeds and confessions> OR "Confession of Faith" OR "Confessions and Credos" OR Creeds

    Everything search of <Topic Creeds and confessions> found nothing.

    Everything search of "Confession of Faith" OR "Confessions and Credos" OR Creeds found 159,699 results in my library.

    Modified search of (Confession WITHIN 3 WORDS (Faith,Credos)) OR Creeds found 204,442 results in my library (more, but a bit too much to easily digest)

    Expanded search for articles (by restricting fields to Heading and Large Text) plus added some terms from Topic Guide:

    (([field heading,largetext] Confession,Confessional) WITHIN 3 WORDS ([field heading,largetext] Faith,Credos,Forms,Christ)) OR ([field heading,largetext] Creeds)

    found 3,925 results (sorted by Ranked has a number of interesting items in the first page)
