I was not sure how often this occurs.. And what it normally is? Meaning like 20% off etc
Wait for Christmas! Then wait for Logos 8.
Once, perhaps twice a year.
I first bought Logos (6) in May 2016 at 15% off (and FL included an $80 commentary set for free with the purchase).
Since L7, we don't see savings/promotions like that anymore. For one, FL no longer offers 15% off discounts on base packages. The most you will see now is 10% off (although L7 introductory pricing did stack with Logos Now savings).
For what it's worth, FL did give a generous credit to anyone who purchased L6 shortly before L7 came out.
They're usually on sale for Pastor Appreciation Month. Sometimes there's a Back-to-School sale as well.
Last sale that was on said something to the effect never see theses discounts again on Logos 7.... Now that may mean discounts of that level which were 15% or 20% (I don't remember the actual discount amount off the top of my head) I took it to mean that and expected no more base price sales till 8 rolled out, however what marketing says and what happens can easily be two different things. Although had I seen Bob say so I would be more likely to take it as a solid fact, but even then I wouldn't say his statement was anything more than something that may change if situations warrant it.

Rodney you really need to take a close look at the packages.
At first i just got Logos 7 Gold, but then changed it to Logos 7 Platinum because I got Hermeneia that reg cost is $1,699 at only $350.00 more I am very happy because I would never have paid close to the reg cost.
Oh. I have Logos 7 Portfolio Standard and am a Now member.. I am just looking to add the Orthodox Gold some day but I can wait for a good sale for it, even if I have to wait until Logos 8..
I have Logos 7 Portfolio Standard and am a Now member.
Since you are a Logos Now subscriber, you probably won't see any better pricing until Logos 8 introductory pricing. LN members already get 10% off libraries year-round. Apart from introductory pricing (which has ended), that LN discount won't stack with any L7 base package sales or L7 coupons.
The discounts are what FL decides, and may or may not require the purchase of something else at the time to qualify for the discount.
The discounts are offered when FL determines to offer them.
Offering anything beyond that is pure speculation based on the assumption past behavior of FL in this area will dictate future behavior of FL in this area.
The introduction of Logos Now however makes past behavior a less reliable guide future behavior in the short term. Logos Now users already get an all year round disount, so Logos Now subscribers need to change their mindset from that of when are they going to offer the next base package sale to the realisation that the price they see is already discounted in comparison to what non-subscribers are offered. In order to make that, along with other discounts offered to subscribers a viable business model they have to pull back on the 15% or 20% off discounts as being a regular predictable offer to customers.
In general business make offer's like 20%off because they want to stimulate sales in order to hit a sales budget. One scenario for FL is that they were finding when they did offer these sort of discounts is that it resulted in a lot of payment plans being put in place. Hence they weren't getting the kick in immediate kick in cash flow such an event is designed to do. Hence the big change in payment plan rules, and a flow on the change in the way they discount base packages. But that is all just speculation on my part, not designed to say how it is at FL but to you to think about it for a moment from the perspective of a business and to highlight some of the changes that point out why past behavior may not be quite as reliable for now as a predictor of future behavior until a few cycles under the new model have passed.

This is very true! It's worth setting aside some time to compare. There are some great deals!
