Since I'm relatively new to Logos, I wanted to check into some of what will be the future features to Mac users by playing around with the Windows version that I have under Boot Camp. My studying right now consists of two areas: finishing Hadjiantoniou's Learning the Basics of New Testament Greek; and setting up a reading plan which will allow me to read the NT scripture, but studying them from a Messianic point of view.
Setting up the reading plan was easy. For the Greek part, I opened by Grammar, the accompanying workbook, and a few other grammars and arranged them as I liked. I played around with the highlighting feature by giving highlights for areas that I need to remember. I saved the layout under the name Greek Study. Finally, I had read that one could turn off starting home page as the default, so while under L4 Windows, I did. I exited and the restarted L4 Windows to make sure it restarted as I left it, and it did.
When I rebooted in Mac and launched L4 Mac, the setting for not showing the home page wasn't preserved. So, I changed this setting in the Mac version. I like the news of the home page, but prefer to see it when I choose to see it.
I was interested next to see if my preserved Greek Study layout would be preserved. After removing the displayed home page, I was able to select that layout and see that my open books for it were preserved. it was.
One thing that is not showing up yet in the UI is all of my highlighting. I know it can't be created yet, but was not sure if rendering would occur if its data existed in the cloud.
It's getting there, though.
