version 7 is slower than 6

I just upgraded to Version 7 on my 13" MBP and it is slower than version 6.

Version 7.7.0.0015

My computer is SSD and not a HD and I have lots of memory so the issue should not be hardware related. I would reindex my files but I can't find a command to do so.

Logos is my goto Bible Software program and I have a large investment (as most of us do) in texts over the years with it. 

At this point, I prefer version 6 and would even consider downgraded to it if it wasn't for lack of support in the future.

What can I do to make this work faster?

Visual filters are another source.

The next release (in about 8 weeks time) will concentrate on improved startup times.
