Where and how should I report bugs?

The bugs on that page are reviewed by Logos programmers, as are bug reports on these forums.

To submit a bug report on these forums please include the word "Bug" in the thread title. Include the steps required to reproduce the bug, the expected outcome, the actual outcome, the version of Logos4 that you are using, and your basic system specs.

    Richard,

    Thanks for the comments.

YES - it seemed to be the standard to start the subject line with "BUG:" so thats what I'm using for now.

I had submitted one to the bugs page, but NOTHING has happened with it, on a new resource I have purchased.

I think I'm frustrated that there seems no clear process to report and have official response from Logos that its logged and being worked on, or at least in a queue.

I expect Logos uses some kind of fault tracking system both within Customer Services and also within Program Development, but from reading the forums, I see no sign or hint of fault of incident numbers, tracking issues until resolved.

I would love to see a system where EVERY bug report got assigned the next ID number, which could be used over the phone, posted into the forum thread, and refered to by number in the list of issues addressed or resolved by new releases.

Then, somewhere there could be a web page that we could look up any fault/incident ID by number and see its official status, and if resolved, see in what versions is was fixed. (The current bugs page has NO concept of fault ID or date code. As that page grows longer, its rather useless in my view.)

In some cases, it can be as simple as a user error/misunderstanding, so show as resolved by forum post, email or phone call etc. They dont all have to end up haunting the poor developers, but clearly some would need to be addressed with technical changes to code, metadata, web server configs etc.

For the record, I love the Logos 4 product and what it lets me do. Please dont misunderstand what I'm asking for here. But it would be nice to have a clear method to report and track issues. The forums dont seem to be working in all cases.

I share your desire Jim.  Whatever Logos uses internally, they're not sharing the numbers etc. with the public.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
