Apparently this book isn't supposed to be locked

Hi Logos Community,

Hopefully you guys can help me out with a little conumdrum I have. Several years ago my parents purchased the Scholar's edition of Libronix, which has come off the shelf a few times, but for the most part been left unused. Since discovering that there's an iphone version of Logos and an iPad version in the works, this has got me excited about using Logos again, as I use my iPhone for pretty much everything and plan to get an iPad when I have the money.

In order to use it properly I've been researching the upgrade options to Logos 4, and on the upgrade site it shows what books I have and what books I'll get.

The problem arises when I notice that a bible that I've read a little and found it's translations quite different to the others (the NET Bible) is supposed to be unlocked and usable. However, when I downloaded the NET file (as I didn't have it) and imported it into LLS 3, it told me I had to unlock it first. Is there some way to tell concretely whether I should have access to this bible already as the upgrade site tells me, and if this is the case, how do I rectify the situation?

Regards

Andrew

Yes, the Scholar's Edition of Libronix should have NET Bible in it. See the contents of that base package listed here: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_3.0_Scholar's_Library

In Logos 3, go into Tools > Library Management > Account Summary

The screen that comes up should show your base package license. Confirm that it is indeed Scholar's Library, and make a note of your serial number. (If you still have the box, it's probably on the package or CD case somewhere as well.)

Then go into Tools > Account Management and step through the wizard to sync your licenses.

If this doesn't unlock NET Bible for you, you'll need to call Customer Service to have them unlock it at their end. Be prepared to give them your Scholar's Library serial number over the phone and/or the email address that is associated with your Logos user account.

Note that whatever email address you (or your parents) first registered with must be the same one you use for any upgrades or you won't have access to all your resources. If you have changed email addresses since first getting Logos 3, you can change this user account email address, but that too will require a call to Customer Service.

You said it was an old library. If you have the Scholar's 2.0 edition, it didn't include the NET Bible http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_2.0_Scholars_Library if it came with your library it should have been on the disc in the package.

In order to use Logos on your  iPhone,  you  already know you will have to upgrade to Logos 4. By doing that upgrade, the NET would be included in your Scholar's upgrade package.

Just an added note. Not all resources in a package are available for use on the iPhone. You would need to look up the resources individually to see if they will be available to the iPhone app.
