Bug report: Logos blog, news, etc not showing on customize homepage options

I'm using Logos 4.0C Beta 1.

The "Content" section under "Customize" homepage does not show up the options for Logos Blog, News, Pre-Pubs, Community Pricing, etc. It only lists "Excerpts" and "Devotionals" as the available options. BTW, the "Use Internet" option is turned on.

I have all this customization options too but since 4.0c B1 Logos Blog, News, Pre-Pubs, Community
Pricings not show up in my homepage in spite of I checked them in customization settings. They are gone.

Do you use english as your UI? I use swedish and I recognize customization settings is sorted alphabeticaly in the settings box. In my settings I have the options in different order. Could this be the issue?

Only thing showing up in my homepage is Devotionals, Excerpts and Book of the Day(?).

Yes, I use English. I would not be surprised if the UI language was part of the problem.

Could this have to do with the country or language settings in Windows? How is your settings? I ask because search strings in collections is dependent on the settings in Windows and has nothing to do with UI language in Logos.

I didn't get this problem with Logos 4.0 and 4.0b. I haven't changed the country or language settings in Windows since trying out 4.0c Beta.

I think Benjamin and Ebbe are talking about two different problems.

Benjamin, you said you don't even see the options for Logos Blog, News, Pre-Pubs, and Community Pricing in the "Content" section of your Customize menu. Could you show us a screenshot of that menu popped up? Do you have all the items showing up under the "Features" section of the menu? (Incidentally, I recently noticed that a scroll bar showed up in that Features section when I added another Reading Plan. So some items on the menu were not visible at first; I had to scroll down to get to them. But I don't believe there should ever be a scroll bar on the "Content" section. However, check and see if maybe you just need to scroll down within the menu to see items below Excerpts and Devotionals.)

Ebbe, you seem to have all these options available in your customize menu, but they are not having any effect on your home page, is that correct? I can confirm that I don't see any messages from Logos Community Pricing, Logos News, or Logos Pre-Pubs in there. Perhaps the RSS feed is broken or they aren't feeding anything through those channels lately. (Nobody has ever seen anything for My Logos Messages, and I can't recall if I've ever seen anything for those other three.) But I do see Logos Blog posts. Could you turn off everything but Logos Blog and see if the blog posts show up then?

Hmm...very intriguing. I was thinking maybe you had Use Internet set to No (since all the missing items are Internet related) but I just confirmed that doesn't make any difference. Also, I see that I don't have "Recent Reading Lists" in my Features section, and you do. I know that menu is dynamic because items are added to it when you create Reading Plans, and items can be reordered on it by dragging and dropping. I have no idea where the menu state is stored. There is definitely something more going on behind the scenes with this menu than I understand, and someone from Logos is going to need to jump in and respond to this.

Yes, I have tried setting "Use Internet" to both "yes" and "no"; still get the same problem.

I can't remember if I turned off those missing options in 4.0b before trying out 4.0c. Perhaps in moving over from 4.0b to 4.0c, these settings did not carry over because they were not turned on.

OK, I'm one of them now that I've realized my Customize menu doesn't show "Recent Reading Lists" in the Features section.

Here's my log of a session that consisted of simply opening up Logos to a blank layout, opening the home page, and opening the Customize menu, then closing it and closing Logos.

I have an experiment to try: Close Logos 4. Open Internet Explorer options and delete your Temporary Internet Files. Restart Logos 4 and press F5 to refresh the home page.

Does this bring the web content back?

It did not work.

To clarify, the problem is not the homepage. It's that the options are not showing up under the customize menu.
