Sermon Editor Feature in Mobile App?

I just subscribed to 'Logos Now' in order to be able to use the 'sermon editor' feature for preparing sermons and presentations within Logos.

Here's the problem:  This feature doesn't appear to be available on the mobile app devices, i.e., IOS or Android.  Am I missing something? All I see when I go to Logos mobile is a document that has been prepared using the 'sermon editor' on my desktop computer.

I do so much of my preparation on the my mobile device.  It would be nice to start this sermon prep on my desktop (Mac) and then continue and following up on my mobile device (Ipad).

Currently the editor feature is not available on mobile - I haven't seen Faithlife committing to provide this.

Some people use the web app (app.logos.com) to do sermon editing from mobile devices which may be an option to consider.

I'd love to be able to work on sermons from my iPad. Particularly now that Apple is pushing the iPad Pro as laptop replacement.

Graham - I've tried to use the web app on my mobile device, but all I get is the whirling icon "Loading" - nothing ever happens.  I can access on my desktop, but here again, without mobile access the feature is worthless.

BTW, I'm using an Ipad Air2 and have also tried it on an Android mobile device - still doesn't load.

I do not have this issue on my iPad Pro (small version) or my iPhone 6s.

For clarification: Do you have Logos Now? Are you visiting app.logos.com?

    HI Mark,

I'm guessing that you have not downloaded your resources onto your iPad, so each resource is dependent on internet connection hence the "whirling icon". How much storage does your iPad Air2 have left? Depending how large your Logos library is you may have enough storage left on your iPad to download your resources directly onto your iPad to improve speed. However, of course your iPad Air2 is most likely less powerful than your desktop, which may be part of the issue as well, So you may want to consider upgrading to an iPad pro 10.5 inch 64GB or 256GB. I have an iPad pro and Logos app works wonderful, especially after I downloaded the resources directly to my iPad.

There is my two cents :)

    Welcome Dan! [:)]

The "whirling" was in reference to the web, not mobile, app.

As a side note: it isn't recommended to download all your resources, for many reasons.

Thanks Alabama for the warm welcome :) and for the clarification. Who does not recommend downloading "all your resources"? And what reasons would they give to not doing it?  I have had a lot of success doing this. My iPad is 256GB, so I am not running out of space anytime soon but i'd be curious if there are any other downsides besides the pure large amount of storage consumption it takes. Thanks!

I don't recommend it, and various employees have said the same. The mobile app isn't designed to be a replacement, but a supplement. Reasons for not downloading large amounts of resources:

    1. The best fix is often to delete the app and reinstall.
    2. Resources don't automatically update on mobile, which can cause problems when moving between platforms... including highlights!
    3. When you reinstall, often the app will attempt to download ALL of the resources again, perhaps at an inopportune time. This can lead to a non working app when you need it most, or a corruption in the install.
    4. As much as I love Apple and iOS, I do know that I have had times where space was not reclaimed after a delete. The consequence of which is that the 2 GB install becomes a 4GB one when you reinstall. The only solution I found was a wipe and complete reinstall of iOS.

I know that there are forum members who go weeks or months without internet. Only in those situations would I ever consider "download all."

I've seen this, too, and clicked on the X to stop the download, then the reload icon, and the app came up as it should. If you haven't tried that, give it a try and see if it helps. I am able to use the web app on my iPad Air 2.
