Publish a Notes File

I would like to copy a note file and give it to a couple of my friends. Is there any way to do this?

Okay, I'm going to do a follow-up on my original posting. I need to vent.
I was very disappointed to find that my notes were all locked up inside Logos 4. But not to be dissuaded, I hatched a plan to locate the notes file, load it into Excel, and print it from there. And I did ... sort of. I got the notes into Excel, but the format of the text was mind boggling. So I gave up. Which leads me to my point.
I have spent way too much time trying to find workarounds for Logos 4 deficiencies! I didn't buy Logos 4 to become an expert in its internal structure. I just want to use it to study the Bible.
So I've made a decision. Logos 4 will no longer be my Bible study tool of choice. I have another tool that I really like, and I haven't found a flaw in it yet. I will still use Logos when I need to look at something interlinear, and I have a favorite commentary that I haven't yet purchased for the other platform. But Logos 4 is now definitely in second place.
In May I plan to spend $700 to $1000 on new resources, and with regrets I will buy them for the first place platform.
Perhaps Logos will get their act together eventually, but in the meantime I need to get on with my life.

Well, you just made me spend an hour on Logos4 inner workings ... downloading SQLite, a browser for SQLite, finding a record that I knew to be problematic etc.
However, my "findings" are a bit different than yours:
- The database is designed for Rich Text Format data ... a good choice
- The database appears to contain bracketing around the RFT that appears to be XML ... a nice universal format
- The complexity to which you are referring can be stripped away with XSLT ... which makes it convertible as technology changes
- The SQLite browser I selected is crummy at displaying the full content of the notes ... I get the full title but [So I have to go trolling the net again]
- I will admit to having personally chosen eXist for a native XML database ... so Logos didn't implement my particular biases
But while Logos4 can be very frustrating at this time, please be certain that you won't regret your decision in 6 months.

Remember that technically you purchased resources. The program is free. I agree that while Logos did provide information on the incomplete status of the program, it was not prominent enough for many people to know what they were buying into. And there was functionality that Logos saw as little used that users have been vocal about getting reinstated - on this Logos has been quite responsive. [Mind you, there are some features added back in that I would have given very low priority ... and some of my essentials that I'm still waiting impatiently for[:(]]

My decision was to leave Logos 4 behind, and switch to a competitor! :-)

The other way to say this is "If you don't like it, don't buy it." Others have said it, your one of the few to admit to following the advice.

And that my be your best option depending upon the resources and functions you use. However, if Logos meets their 4000 books a year capability, resources may soon give Logos an edge. Hence my caution.[:)]

I'm sorry about the inability to share notes. The old system of sharing notes isn't compatible with syncing, and could lead to a lot of lost user data. We're designing and implementing a new document sharing model -- which will work for all the user documents -- that lets you share (read only, shared, copied, etc.) your documents with other people while keeping sync, for both you and those you share with.
It's underway, but still some months out.

Thank you for the details.
You should know that Logos is the only Bible program that I currently have installed. I wish I could add more books, but a limited income prevents this from happening. Your sales and discounts are good - but I still need to watch my spending.
I own several other programs, but have not re-installed them as I have replaced my laptop, desktop, and tablet over the last several years. I may do so in the future - but that will only because I need information that I do not own in Logos. I know I sometimes come off as gruff and growly - but in my heart, as somebody once told me, I am really a teddy bear, but not a gruff and growly one.

In pre-L4, I named my notes files by pre-pending my initials ( JMcD_NoteFile ) so they would have a chance of being unique when I shared them. I'm wondering if I should keep doing this in L4 or if your future note file sharing system will eliminate the problem of multiple note/clipping files with the same names.
Have a great day,
