Search fails

I was trying the searches:

"Festival of Tabernacles" NEAR {Speaker <Person Jesus>}
"Festival of Tabernacles" WITHIN 10 WORDS {Speaker <Person Jesus>}

and hoping to get e.g. John 7:2-3 as a result, but that didn't happen. It seems that the operators NEAR and WITHIN only operate within the range of one verse.

Two questions:

Is that a correct conclusion?
How can I perform a search that will find the 'Festival of Tabernacles' very close to a passage where Jesus is the speaker?

You can run a Basic Search (bounded by chapter) - although in verse 3 Jesus is being spoken to and not speaking so I've used "Addressee" in the example below

Is there also a way to overcome the chapter boundaries? For example to run such a search like:

("Festival of Tabernacles" WITHIN 100 WORDS {Speaker <Person Jesus>}) WITHIN 2000 WORDS (light WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>})

in order to find that Jesus is talking about 'I am the light' (John 8:12) in the context of the Festival of Tabernacles / Lights (John 7:2).

Syntax Search can do this

But it is not meaningful (e.g. part of a single sentence) when you have to span about 2000 words for a match that you already know (restrict it to book of John).

You can also attempt this with Morph Query if you subscribe to Logos Now.
